Additive manufacturing under vacuum
3D-LAVA 01 June 2021 – Present
Project manager · scientific and technical delivery
Development and experimental validation of vacuum-compatible molten-regolith processing for lunar manufacturing.
Defined test plans, measurement requirements, and verification activities. Coordinated hardware, instrumentation, experiments, and partner interfaces. Connected system results to material-property evidence and process improvements. View project Mobile regolith manufacturing
EDAM-R 02 March 2019 – May 2021
Project manager and research engineer
A mobile manufacturing concept combining a planetary rover, robotic manipulation, sensing, and a regolith-processing payload.
Supported the initial system concept and later scientific and technical delivery. Translated process requirements into rover and payload interfaces. Developed experimental hardware and verification approaches for terrestrial testing. View project Collaborative planetary systems
3D4Space 03 March 2019 – May 2021
Consortium project manager
A multidisciplinary programme for mobile additive manufacturing using collaborative planetary rovers and modular payloads.
Managed consortium interfaces, schedules, integration priorities, and field activities. Connected rover mobility, manipulation, manufacturing, and sensing workstreams. Helped move the concept from architecture through integrated demonstrations. View project Mobile selective laser melting
MOONRISE 04 September 2018 – February 2019
Student researcher
A compact payload demonstrating two-dimensional laser processing of lunar regolith simulant from a mobile manipulator.
Contributed to regolith-processing experiments and system testing. Supported work across terrestrial and reduced-gravity test conditions. Co-authored the journal and conference record describing the payload and results. View project
