The morphology and cross-sectional microstructure of the specimens were observed using field-emission SEM (FE-SEM; 15 kV, JSM-7800F, JEOL, Japan) coupled with backscattered electron (BSE) detection.
To evaluate the 2D porosity, BSE images were obtained from five regions in each sample and analyzed using Image J software.
Thermal mechanical analysis (TMA 402 F3, Netzsch, Germany) was used to obtain the linear coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) under the extreme temperature variations characteristic of the Moon.
