The purpose of the experiments was to obtain the tensile strength of lunar regolith simulant, and examine the variation as a function of density and height of the specimen.
The tensile strength tests for different densities are illustrated in Fig. 6. As Fig. 6 illustrates, tensile strength of JSC-1 simulant increases with the increase of density.
